Tami Williams is the first Caribbean model to be selected by Calvin Klein (CK),the global fashion behemoth, as the face of the brand for its Collection Fall 2015 Campaign, catapulting the young woman into the realm of superstardom.
Preliminary checks have revealed that no black model has done the ‘Collection’ campaign since the legendary supermodel Iman 33 years ago. The 17-year-old Williams now joins such names as Christy Turlington, Kate Moss, Natalia Vodionova, and more recently Lara Stone who have been made supermodels by the uber-prestigious Calvin Klein brand. Williams also shares the CK Collection spotlight with Grace Hertzel and Maartje Verhoef as a brand ambassador.
The Jamaican stunner has been one of the most sought-after faces on the runway. This season alone, Williams has already strutted a whopping 37 shows, scoring coveted spots at Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, and Ralph Lauren. And it’s no mean feat—Williams sometimes averages up to four shows a day.
